Week three, removal of shit as above, replacement of sweet stuff with low fat yogurt. 2.6 mile run. Hopefully, upper body exercises should be a feature on thursday.

Week four will start the portion control section of the diet. I may be really hungry by this time next week.

To find you are not there.
You always waited by the house,
How strange that I can see you now,
Running down the path.
That happy grin across your face,
Pleased that I've come home.

The little things you did,
Putting a paw on the door.
Biting me softly on the nose,
You'd cuddle up in to my face,
Your face would smile, all the while
Purring your content.

I went in to your garden,
The one I built from sleepers,
Smiling in the dark.
You are still here with me,
If only in my heart.

My little Baby Boy was lost today, he was hit by a car this morning, while crossing the road to come home for his breakfast. Found him not long after it happened.

Just wanted to share a little snapshot of him with you all, because he meant the world to me.

He was almost human. Never aloof, which cats have a reputation for. If I sat down, he would be beside me. Loyalty seen previously in dogs and very few cats in the world. He would come running home when he heard the van pull up. He was really special to me, and I can't tell you how lonely the house feels now. Our only consolation is that we can see that he did not suffer, the impact killed him instantly. It's a little comfort to know that his last thoughts would have been:

"Dad, Daddy, Breakfast"

Goodnight BooBoo, love you little man.

I've found an app for the iPhone that tracks your progress using the GPS system. It's called Runkeeper, and you can play your music at the same time. It shows you a map of your run, gives you the length of the run and the time taken. It also gives you a graph to show how fast you're going - I've taken a photo so all becomes a bit clearer! I've also highlighted the section of the graph that shows my fastest running speed - a whopping 9.26 miles per hour!

I've continued to let my hair grow. Everyone said I looked like wolverine from Xmen. So I messed about with the clippers and fashioned the beard to match... now I do look like wolverine.

Nothing is untoward about them, we're a normal happy family. I just respect their privacy. If they wanted their affairs posted on here they would be bloggers themselves. This time though, I'm blogging about my memories of my Granddad. We lost him a number of years back, about a year after my Gran died. When he died, he was a shell of a man. Barely able to speak, bedridden, and unable to remember who we were for much of the time. This is a painful memory of a man I love very much, but serves a very important purpose for me. It reminds me that he was not always this way. This leads me back to the memories I hold, right from being a young nipper, exploring his garage where he crafted woodwork (to this day I'm not sure what he ever crafted, but he certainly enjoyed being in there). Him teaching me tool use safely, and teaching me to carve, cut and sand wood. Games of chess, a game he taught me both to play and love. Games of cards, he instilled an amazing passion in me for these games of skill and chance. To this day, I love cards, and am generally unbeatable in any card game that is more than luck. The man was an ace cardsharp. His Triumph car, which had a distinctive smell inside, a smell that will forever be associated with this great man.
The strangest thing is that he wasn't a great man, or a particularly strong man, he was just my Granddad. And I love him dearly. I never cried when he died, for me he was simply released. I also think on the day of his funeral, I kept a part of him with me, which allowed me to show the quiet strength and love for my family when they could not be strong. To this day, I still feel the ability to be quietly strong when all is wrong to be a great asset for me.
I hope that if any of you read this and have a similar experience that I have had, you would be able to not let positive memories be soured by the negative, but allow them to be srengthened instead.
Much love to you all, thanks for listening
To borrow a phrase I learned to love from this site:

YOU ARE A CUNT. RESIGN NOW AND DO US ALL A FAVOUR BEFORE THIS COUNTRY IMPLODES.

Sorry folks, it just really pissed me off.

We finally got all the railway sleepers in around the lawn, and levelled then reseeded the lawn itself.

While in the shower, Myke called me from downstairs. He shouts up:
"You've got an e-mail. You won that amplifier on e-bay..."
I paused, mid scrub. Thought to myself Amp? What amp did I bid on? And, more to the point, shit HOW FUCKING MUCH MONEY HAVE I JUST SPENT?!
"Errr..." says I, "Which amp was that? I actually can't remember..." Bites knuckle nervously.
"It was a VOX AD30VT. You got it for £87.51"
"Oh right, that one! And fuckin woohoo - that's one hell of a bargin!" (£170 new)

Monday morning saw us get the van signed up:

And it looks bloody ace. Of course I would say that, I designed it.

Monday Evening saw me pick up the aforementioned amplifier:

And quite frankly, it sounds ace!

Tuesday saw me pick up my new guitar, now named J30, which I ordered 11 weeks ago, which was a present to me from everyone who gave me money for my birthday. This custom made instrument is shown below:

And it sounds, looks and plays ace!

So far this week has been fookin superb!

As you can imagine, all this excitement has taken it's toll on my blogging, hence why I went rather quiet. However, I've read them all, just not had time to post any comments except the few where I just had to....
Sorry I've not done much, I've been too busy doing things.

1. The band has a new gig in two weeks. I am so not ready..... Hours of practice every night!
2. Got e-mails from an old friend who now lives in the states. He's coming over in September, and we're talking about a reunion.
3. Work is absolutely crazy, we're bombed. We had one quiet day this week, where we simply breated out a few times and eat lunch on time and hot for once.

Now number 2 is an odd situation. There was a huge falling out between me and some friends (not the pseudo-american). I've not spoken to some of these people since the bust up. I've just e-mailed one of the fallen out ones, in the hope of burying the hatchet, this time not in my back. I guess someone had to make the first move, so I figured it'd be me.
Now I've done it, I actually feel relieved. If nothing comes of it, I've tried. And I'll still be able to keep in touch with the guy in America and meet up for a drink if nothing else...

The kind who runs round to everyone with pans of chicken soup whenever the slightest illness shows signs, regardless of the risk to their own health. I have one, and I love her for it. She's got no kids of her own, so has adopted me and all my friends, and bakes continually.

Well tonight Matthew, I got to be a Jewish Mother.

We let the cat outdoors for the first time today. He's been a house cat since we got him three years ago. Not through choice, we just always lived in environments where he'd end up squished.

Now, we have a garden, and cats live in peace and happiness. We've had all his vaccinations done. And let him out. And managed to hold off for a total of one minute as he sauntered through the hedge at the back of the <del>nature reserve</del> Garden.

He's still with us and didn't run off, despite me pulling my best Jewish mother. "But he's going to get himself lost in that really large garden at the back!" I cried. To which he continued to chew grass happily and chase the next door neighbours cat around. Bully.

Am going to do this again tomorrow. Eventally I'll peel myself off the roof for a while and leave him out all day while I'm at work. But not yet dammit, he's not had his barmitzvah, and his trust fund is yet to mature. Maybe in about another ten or so years.

Not because I got caught, but because it stopped me being able to pass my bike test. See here for link.

I got curious, as the law was a bit vague on this. I phoned the DVLA today, and a lovely chap explained that the 6 point rule applied to new licenses not new categories.

Which means I can start saving now for my Bike Lessons, CBT, and motorbike...

So I'm in a downright fuckin cheerful mood as a result!

I am now going to be saving for my CBT (£600), Motorbike (£1000+), Direct access course (£TBA), New leather pants and Jacket (£TBA)

Total: I need a payrise... which I'm also sorting out next week.

Patches of the truth showed through the badly covered exterior surfacing. However, the object stubbornly resisted any attempt to uncover it completely. Standing about chest height, and shaped like a mini stonehendge, the surface was covered in strange finishes, each of which showed a different age. It was impossible to date the object with any accuracy. It's true nature was a mystery. Over the years, multiple efforts to disguise the surface had resulted in drastic measures being required. They had to know what they were truly looking at.

They decided after about four hours work, that they had done enough. They had uncovered the centre of the object with amazing ease, although this had set them wondering about the deeper mysteries that lay in the dark tunnel above them, linking the object to the top of the structure in which it was housed. Cursory examination with a torch had reavealed little. The surface of the object itself had been partially revealed.

They began to clean down the dust caused by grinding carefully at it's multi-layered surface. The dust was milimetres thick, showing all the hard work that they had done. Sweat poured from their bodies, causing the dust in the air to stick to their skin. When they ground their teeth together, they could feel the powder coating them. They were both short of breath. The shorter of the two quietly pondered on the possible after effects of this dust on his lungs and eyes.

The plastic sheeting covering the expensive electrical equipment was eventually removed. Several screens on desks showed layers of the dust. They growled about having to clean every object individually, and set to with wet rags.

The nature of the object was becoming clear after hours of working. Dark grey slate gleamed in the evening late. The cleaning finally finished, and the dust finally showered off them, they looked at the fruits of their labour.
